The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to select if you're looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something that you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This will ensure an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the odors.
Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how fast the device will move through your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It is important to note that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every three month.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is rated highly on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. These include a power button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that indicated when it was about to start or completing its task.
Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the need to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage like a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. robot cleaner 'll need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
